Sonic Expy Traits
Basic Traits
A character must have at 6 basic traits to be qualified as a Sonic Expy.
- Heroic/Anti-Villainous: A Sonic Expy performs heroic and/or evil deeds with good intentions.
- Chaotic Good: A Sonic Expy does heroic things by following their conscience rather than established rules.
- Energetic: A Sonic Expy is hyperactive, excitable and/or hot-blooded.
- Confident/Cocky: A Sonic Expy exudes confidence and self-assuredness, often with a bit of swagger.
- Edgy/Rebellious: A Sonic Expy challenges norms and authority, often displaying a rebellious streak.
- Charismatic: A Sonic Expy has a magnetic personality that draws people in and makes them memorable.
- Humorous/Witty: A Sonic Expy uses humor, sarcasm, and clever remarks to engage and entertain.
- Has a Distinctive Style: A Sonic Expy features a unique and recognizable design, often with vibrant colors, cool outfits, or accessories.
- Enthusiastic: A Sonic Expy is full of enthusiasm, always on the move and ready for action.
- Playful/Mischievous: A Sonic Expy enjoys making playful antics and causing a bit of chaos for fun.
- Loyal: A Sonic Expy shows loyalty to their friends and allies.
- Protective: A Sonic Expy is often willing to protect those around them.
- Adventurous: A Sonic Expy likes to seek new experiences and challenges, often with a fearless approach.
- Determined: A Sonic Expy refuses to give up, regardless of the obstacles.
- Is A Mascot with Attitude: A Sonic Expy possesses characteristics that makes them come off as cool, especially to young boys.

- Speedy/Agile: A Sonic Expy can run very fast.
- Uses Slang: A Sonic Expy has a tendency to use informal language in their everyday conversations.
- Likes Eating Fast Food: A Sonic Expy likes to eat junk food (i.e. french fries, pizza, chilli dogs, etc.)
- Likes Extreme Sports: A Sonic Expy enjoys playing extreme sports.
- Likes Hip-Hop/Rock: A Sonic Expy enjoys listening to hip-hop and/or rock and roll.
- Has Catchphrases: A Sonic Expy consistently uses phrases that no one around them uses as much as them to the point of being memorable.
- Is a Breakdancer: A Sonic Expy enjoys breakdancing.
- Stylish and Trendsetting: A Sonic Expy sets trends with their distinctive look and style, often becoming a fashion icon in their world.
- Has an Unforgettable Presence: A Sonic Expy is easy to recognize.
- Is an Anthropomorphic Animal: A Sonic Expy is an animal who has human-like characteristics.
- Is a Daredevil: A Sonic Expy enjoys doing dangerous things in spite of the potential risks.
- Spiky Hair: A Sonic Expy has spiky that makes them stand out.
- Unnatural Hair Color: A Sonic Expy's hair color is not a natural color.
Special Categories
- Neutral Character: Not all Sonic Expies commit heroic deeds, as there are some who only show acts of kindness and generally just cool people.
- Pre-Sonic Expies: If a character made their first appearance earlier than Sonic's in 1990, they must be placed under "What Makes Them Similar to a Sonic Expy" in their page.
